Dear Sir,

We are El Sewedy Cables Company. We are one of leading companies in the field of cable manufacturing in the Middle East. We have three power cable factories (Arab Cables CO., El Sewedy - Egytech Cables Co., El Sewedy

- producing power cables United Industries Co., El Sewedy producing special cables xxxxx automotive, LAN, coaxial , control and instrumentation

Cables) and one telephone cables factory (Egytech Telecom, El Sewedy/Siemens) in Egypt. We produce power cables up to 220 KV; we have a joint venture with Furukawa of Japan. Our telephone cables company is a joint venture with siemens, Germany.

We control more than 50% of the Egyptian market and we are exporting as well and we have a United Export Company to cover the export activities.

We have also another power cable factory in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jeddah Cable Company producing power cables up to 220 KV, also joint venture with Furokawa.

We also have a cable factory in Sudan called Giad El Sewedy Cables Company, producing telephone cables and LV power cables.

In Syria, We are establishing El Sham Cables Co., El Sewedy which start production by end of 2005 and will also be producing power cables.

We are interested in allocating new supplier who can supply us with materials. The technical specifications and services are our main assessment criteria.

If you believe your company may be able to supply any of our factories by the required raw material, kindly advice these material so that we can send to you our technical data sheet to quote accordingly.

Materials that we are importing at the present time are:

1- Copper Tape 40 x0.10 mm, inner diameter 101 mm, outer 450 mm

2- Polyethylene material for insulation of power cable (Borealis code for this material le 4421, 4423, 4421 M, 7710, 4201R, 4201S, 0595, 0592, 0511, 6062)

3- Water blocking tape (non conductive and semi conductive, thickness 0,1mm up to 2.0 mm ) width from 20 mm - 70 mm, inner diameter 76 mm and outer diameter 500 mm

4- Cold rolled and galvanized steel tape, thickness 0.2, 0.5 & 0.8, width 20 mm, 30 mm, 50 mm, 80mm and 60 mm

5- Galvanized steel wire for armoring: 0.8, 0.9, 1.25, 1.6, 2.0, 2.5, 3.15

6- High carbon galvanized steel stranded wire for ACSR cables: 7*1.45, 7*2.15, 7*2.6, 7*3.0, 7*3.15, and 19*2.68

7- Craft paper and filter paper (for filtration system

8- Swelling & Graphite Powder

9- Lead alloy E and pure lead 99.99%

10- Aluminum alloy 9.5 mm and aluminum H12 and H 14

11- Master batch and lubricants

12- POLY PROPYLENE TAPES 30MM, 40 MM, 50 AND 60 MM IN WIDTH

13- ALUMINUM COPOLYMER 250/50/250

14- PVC
