Active Zinc Oxide has excellent qualities described as the following:

1) Its crystal form appears to be hollow particles, therefore it has a much larger BET surface area (25-30 m2/g) comparing to that of conventional ZnO, which could only reach to a maximum of 10 m2/g. Hence active ZnO has an outstanding dispersion effect.

2) For its special manufacturing technology, harmful heavy metals (such as Pb, Cd, Fe, Mn, and others) were eliminated from the final product to trace levels lower than 20 ppm. On the contrary, conventional ZnO could contain heavy metals as much as 500 ppm; this not only harms the environment and the living beings, but also hinders the anti-fatigue property of the rubber products.

3) Active ZnO has excellent heat conductivity. This is most favorable for the make of
high-speed radial tires.

4) High quality and dimensional consistency of the product are easily maintained due to its
unique manufacturing processes.

5) Its fine ZnO particles give high translucency. This provides better visual effect for making transparent rubbery goods.

6) Diamonchem Active Zinc Oxide is as pure as to be used as additives in medicine, cosmetics and animal feed.
