CAST****8 HD H.**4 Eight-Channel Encoder features high performance, ultra-low latency and low bit rates for DTV systems, and adopts state-of-the-art compression technology(H.**4/AVC) to achieve compression efficiency of the former MPEG*2 standard by over two times, as well as excellent resolution. Audio encoding supports MPEG*1 Layer2, HE-AAC, LC-AAC by option. The device provides interfaces of HDMI or SDI by option, and ASI output and TSoIP(UDP/IP) output after loss-less compression processing. The unique empty packets filtering capability enables the spectrum source to be saved for IPTV systems. CAST****8 has an external 1*ASI , which can be multiplexed with local multi-programs to eliminate the needs of multiplexers, and also simplify the network architecture for high reliability solutions. CAST****8 Encoder is the preferred device for content source encoding of DTV broadcasting system to address the ever-increasing demand for more premium viewing experiences.
