Dense fused corundum is a kind
of top grade refractory material, with the host lattice
of α-Al2O3 and
in hoar color. The products are of high melting point, high bulk
density and low air hole rate. It has fine fastness, slag
resistance, dimensional stability and thermal shock resistance
under high temperature. It is recognized as the most outstanding
refractory in the corundum series. Dense fused corundum is an ideal
material for making unshaped refractory materials such as blast
furnace iron runner castable, ladle castable, ramming material,
precast parts, etc and various shaped products such as continuous
castings, gas supply brick and nozzle seat brick, etc. It is widely
used in iron and steel, cement, ceramics and petrochemical,
etc.
