The ribbon bridge *9A is a kind of heavy pontoon equipment used
for constructing *0tf and *0tf floating bridge and *0tf, *0tf and
**0tf ferry rafts over rivers with a current velocity not higher
than 2.5m/sec. One complete set consists of *4 interior bays, 2
ramp bays, 5 erection motor boats and *1 refitted cross-country
transporters.
Main features of the equipment are: The floating bridge and ferry
raft, constructed from the tight-boxes integrating pontoons,
stringers and plates, being continuous ribbon-type floating
bodies; An easy conversion between floating bridge and ferry
raft, as each interior pontoon (or shore pontoon) being a section
of a floating bridge or a ferry raft with the same structure; A
wide roadway used as either a single-lane for heavy loads or a
double-lane for light loads; No wharf construction required
in raft crossing, its accompanied ramps facilitating loading and
unloading after mooring.
