The oil content of Moringa seeds ranges between ****0% by weight depending on the plant variety and the climate.  This is higher than the oil content of the Jatropha seeds. There are two main reasons why this plant is now preferred to Jatropha; firstly, the whole plant can be used as a food source and as a biofuel feedstock source; secondly, Jatropha has a poisonous part that is left when you extract the oil.  The Malunggay plant has no poisonous parts, indeed it has been used for centuries as a kind of wonder plant by poor Filipinos both for food and medicinal purposes.
