From most angles, the FAW Hongta T**0 looks pretty much like just another pickup truck. Its face, however, strongly resembles that of the fifth-gen, pre-facelift Ford Explorer SUV. Coincidence? Yeah, right.
As many as eight different versions of the truck, priced between **6,**0 and **5,**0 yuan ($*6,**0 $*1,**0), were launched in China. All models are powered by a 2.*-liter turbo-diesel unit, good for **9 PS (**7 HP) and **0 Nm (**6 lb-ft) of torque.
The engine is mated to a *-speed manual transmission, which on some, higher-spec models, feeds all four wheels. According to Autohome, the T**0 also has a **0 mm (8.2 inches) ground clearance.
Customers can opt for regular or long-wheelbase versions of the truck, the former measuring 5,**0 mm (**9.8 in) in length, 1,**0 mm (*4 in) in width and 1,**5 mm (*1.8 in) in height, with a 3,**5 mm (**1.8 in) wheelbase. Meanwhile, the LWB measures 5,**0 mm (**2 in) in length and its wheelbase is 3,**5 mm (**4 in) long. All models come equipped with **5/*5 R*7 tires.
As for safety and convenience features, theres ABS, rear parking sensors, central locking, a multi-function steering wheel, trip computer, *-inch infotainment display, power windows, electrically-adjustable mirrors and more.
Overall, its not a bad-looking truck although Fords designers (unwillingly) have to take most of the credit for that…
