Powder coating is a completely different form from general coatings, it exists in the state of fine powder. Because no solvent is used, it is called powder coating. The main features of powder coatings are: harmless, high efficiency, resource saving and environmental protection.

It comes in two broad categories: thermoplastic powder coatings and thermoset powder coatings.

Thermoplastic powder coatings are composed of thermoplastic resins, pigments, fillers, plasticizers and stabilizers. Thermoplastic powder coatings include: polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated polyether, polyamide, cellulose, polyester, etc.

Thermosetting powder coatings are composed of thermosetting resins, curing agents, pigments, fillers and additives. Thermosetting powder coatings include: epoxy resin series, epoxy-polyester series, polyester series, polyurethane series, acrylic resin series, etc.
