Bucket elevator is used for steep lifting block materials, such as limestone, coal, gypsum, grog and dry clay, etc. and powdery material, such as green materials, cements and coal fines, etc. Dragging components of bucket elevator mainly consist in loop chain, plate link chain and rubber belt. The structure of loop chain is very simple, and its manucture is very easy, too. Besides, the joint of loop chain and charging hopper is very firm. When used to deliver materials with great cutting wearness, the chain is hardly weared. However, the deadweight of loop chain is very great. Whereas the structure of plate link chain is rather firm and its deadweight is very small, which makes it suitable for steeplifting elevator with great lifting capacity, but with the disadvatage of adjustable fitting easy to be weared. The structure of rubber belt is also simple, which, however, is not appropriate for conveying materials with great cutting wearness. The temperature of common rubber belt shall not exceed *0°C, the steel-gripped rubber belt *0°C and the heat-resistant rubber belt **0°C, while the tempeture of materials conveyed in loop chain and plate link chain is allowed to achieve **0°C.
