NMi is a technology company specialised in metrology (the art of measurement). NMi is designated as national standards laboratory and offers manufacturers customer-oriented solutions for legal metrology and gaming. Services offered by NMi are type examination, verification and calibration primary standards and industrial measuring instruments. NMi offers services to companies and institutes throughout the world. National standards laboratory Subsidiary company NMi Van Swinden Laboratorium (NMi VSL) has been designated as the Dutch national standards laboratory. It safeguards and maintains the traceability of measuring instruments and develops new measurement standards and reference materials. Testing and certification institute Subsidiairy company NMi Certin tests and certifies measuring instruments and certifies management systems. NMi Certin has been notified by the Dutch government and European Commission to perform type examinations and verifications on measuring instruments in on basis of Directive ***4/*2/EC and Directive *0/**4/EEC.
