3 kW wind turbine hand made individually in Canada. Tested on the wild windy West coast of Canada. Electrically inspected by the ***** Electrical Safety Authority. Dealers welcome. Web site is ***** Our turbines are Canadian made, right here in Port McNeill, on Northern Vancouver Island by local certified trades people who take pride in their products. Our rotor hubs are machined from a solid piece of SAE ***0 alloy steel to ensure perfect bearing alignment and balance. The hub is fitted with two taper roller bearings and seal, mounted on an alloy axle with a hardened steel sleeve positioned under the seal to reduce wear. The hub is lubricated with a special low friction SKF grease, through two grease fittings one for each bearing . The fiberglass stator is attached to the main tubular steel frame with stainless steel fasteners. On either side of the stator are the two rotor plats with the Neodymium permanent magnets attached with stainless steel screws. The tail surface is made from marine grade aluminum and is fastened to a steel frame by means of two offset hinges to provide the required furling that controls and prevents over speeding in high winds. To allow for free vertical rotation of the turbine assembly, the three A/C wires from the stator is routed down inside the mast, where at the bottom they are connected to 1) Max. out put: 3.0 kW @ *6.6 m/sec. or *0 km/hr or *8 miles/hr. 2) Furling wind speed: *5 m/sec. 3) Power start up speed: 2.7 m/sec. 4) Blade diameter: 4 meter or *3 feet.
