1.1 INTENT & DEFINITION This specification together with the drawing supplied to describe an unmanned deck cargo barge, unrestricted service. The barge can carry large piece goods (such as cargo barge, tanker, pontoon etc.) and be towed in the sea. 1.2 GENERAL DESCRIPTION The barge shall be built of steel throughout, with scantlings to minimum class requirement compatible with *5 tonnes/m2 uniformly distributed deck loading. The barge have flush deck after the anti-collision bulkhead and havenât any structure (except bollards) and equipment on this deck area. The barge has spoon shaped bow and raked stern. The hull is subdivided by three longitudinal bulkheads and by six transverse bulkheads. Twin skegs are fitted to ensure good course stability whilst under tow. 1.3 PRINCIPAL PARTICULARS Length overall **5.8m Breath moulded *2.0m Depth moulded 8.0m Design draft 5.4m Corresponding deck cargo capacity loading in draft 5.4m is abt.****0t. 1.4 CLASSIFICATION The barge is designed as an unmanned deck cargo barge, constructed in accordance with the latest rules and regulations of American Bureau of shipping (ABS), for unrestricted service and their special survey for the notation ABS+A1 BARGE (unmanned). 1.5 REGISTRY OF BARGE The bargeâs registry will be built in compliance with the rules and regulations for HongKong. 1.6 CERTIFICATES AND REGISTRATION The barge constructed in accordance with the latest rules and regulations except the barge meet ABS requirement. These shall include the following certificate: 1) International tonnage certificate 2) International loadline certificate 3) Classification certificate 4) Other relevant certificate
