BMS processing may include washing and cleaning of the
grains, sizing to remove coarse and very
fine fractions, and physical and chemical processes to remove iron,
chromium and other deleterious minerals. After processing, the
material oven dried and some applications required it to be grinded
into ball mills.
Sand is a naturally occurring granular material composed of finely
divided rock and mineral particles. The composition of sand is
highly variable, depending on the local rock sources and
conditions.
