Fatty acid methyl ester is mainly used for producing epoxidized fa
tty acid methyl esters in plasticizer industry. It can be hydrogenate
d to form higher aliphatic alcohols, or directly used as diesel and f
uel, or burnt in combination. It can reduce the discharge of sulfur d
ioxide. Meanwhile, it is a main raw material for producing degreasa
nt, penetrants, emulsifiers and paints.
