Multi-Functional Integrated Optics Chip (MIOC) is the key fiber optical device used in close loop Interference Fiber Optic Gyroscope (IFOG). It includes a linear polarizer, acts as polarizer and depolarizer; a Y-branch waveguide, acts as optical power splitter and combiner; and two pairs of push-pull electrode function as electro-optic phase modulator. It can be used in close loop IFOG to realize the high performance of high sensitivity, wide dynamic range, and high output linearity.
The design and process of MIOC is optimized for IFOG, with high reliability, low insertion loss, high polarization extinction ratio. Micro-electronic and micro-optical processes, and fiber pigtail precision alignment are taken in the MIOC. Recommend operating wavelength range is ***0nm. Other wavelength band or package type can also be customized.
