Stock enters the screen chamber through a tangential inlet
and begins a circular travel around the outside of the screen
basket. The motion of the inlet-side hydrofoils accelerates the
circular flow, which immediately separates and moves heavy
contaminants away from the screen plate as the debris travels along
the casing wall to the reject opening.
The accepts flow is downward trough a continuous opening located
below the screen basket inward-flo and the accepts compartment
design maintain a constant flow profile throughout this critical
zone.
The hydrofoils rotating around the outside of the basket lift
impurities away from the screen basket. These rejects are then held
away from the screen basket by centrifugal force in their travel to
the reject outlet. Reject materials are processed by succeeding
stages of inflow pressure screen with slots for efficient fiber
recovery and positive removal of fine debris.
