MSDS is
denominated as Material Safety Data Sheet. It describes the hazards
of material and provides information on how to safely handing, use,
and store. It includes information such as flammability, explosion
performance, toxicity, environmental hazard, first aid measures,
safe use, protective equipment, and handling measures, etc. At the
same time, it covers physical data (pH, melting point, boiling
point, flash point, etc.), and the health hazards (carcinogenicity,
teratogenicity, etc.) for the end user. So it is a important report
which covers hazardous information of chemicals.
With the enhancement
of environmental protective consciousness, developed country, such
as USA, Japan, EU, etc. have universally established and
implemented MSDS certification system. When manufactories of
chemicals sold, transported and exported, they must provide the
MSDS certification for users. In order to introduce the relevant
hazards of chemicals and protect measures, reduce professional
hazards, and prevent environmental pollution.

MSDS is edited in
accordance with regulation and requirement of importer homeland. At
present, MSDS has not uniform standard, and current format is
EEC/ISO of EU, OSHA and ANSI of America. Each country or canton has
their own rules and regulations on chemicals management and trade,
which may be amended every month. If MSDS information you provided
is incorrect and incomplete, you had to answer for its legal
liabilities. So material suppliers provide a professional certified
MSDS report write by a third-part testing organization, in order to
avoid legal liabilities resulted from incomplete and unclear of
MSDS. The MSDS is a important symbol to measure strength and
management level of a company. Many inland enterprises don’t know
it is compulsive requirement for export chemicals. No MSDS, no
market.
