The N content is not lower than *1%. It is an
excellent nitrogenous fertilizer, which is applicable to general
soil and crop to promote vigorous growth of branches and leaves,
improve fruit quality and production, and enhance the disaster
resistance of crops, it can be used as basic fertilizer, additional
fertilizer and seed fertilizer. It can make double decomposition
reaction with salt to generate ammonium chloride, and can react
with aluminum sulfate to produce ammonium alum, and with boric acid
and other materials to produce refractories. When it is put into
the plating solution for higher electrical conductivity, it can be
used as catalyst for food caramel, nitrogen source for yeast
cultivation during fresh yeast production, dyeing auxiliary for
acid dyeing and deliming agent for leather. In addition, it is used
for beer brewing, chemical reagent, accumulator production, etc.
One of its important roles is mining of rare earth. Taking ammonium
sulfate as raw materials, exchange for rare earth elements from
minerals in an ion exchange manner, and then collect leach liquor.
After simple filtering separation, dry up the leach liquor to
generate raw rare earth. The ammonium sulfate consumption per tonne
of raw rare earth is about 5t.
