NewGeneration PCM Equipment is new generationaccess network equipment, which can provide narrowband switch services, leasedline services, broadband and VoIP services. It will support multiple uplinkinterfaces, including SDH STM*1 optical card, PDH optical card, GPON card, HDSLcard, TDMoIP card, Trunk card, and Link card, etc. and it has abundant types ofnarrowband service cards, including *4Kbps co-directional data and N×*4Kbps synchronous data interface,*0/**0M Ethernet interface, RS**2 and RS**5 asynchronous data interface, FXO,FXS, Hotline, Magneto, Carrier wave magneto interface and 2/*-wire E&Minterface, etc.,
NewGeneration PCM Equipment adopts 4.5U high standard *9" rack. It is composed of *9slots, herein two slots for master + power card, 1 slot is for AUX card, and *6slots are used for function card. So the maximum *4Kbps access capacity of NewGeneration PCM Equipment is **6, and the maximum E1 access capacity is **6.
New Generation PCM Equipment is provided with apowerful NMS system, by which the operating status of the network can bemonitored in real time and the functions including malfunction locating, timeslot reassignment and online test can be performed easily. The NMS informationtransmission: the FT serial equipment can be cascaded through RS**2 port if theequipment is located in the same room, and they can be connected through TS0time slot of E1 when the equipment is located in different rooms. The NMSconsole can be connected with the devices directly via RS**2 port or ETH port, andgraphical interface NMS, command line NMS or SNMP NMS can be realized, whichcan improve the efficiency of network management into a high level.
