The DL **3 *8X Digital Auto Level takes three different readings, distance, height, and elevation. It has a range of **8' and it has accuracy up to 3/8 up to *3' for distance. It is accurate to 1/*2 per kilometer double-run for height. All the data can be stored in the internal memory, up to 2,**0 measurements. Once you are done collecting the data, it can be transferred to a computer using a serial port.

When using the DL **3 *8X Digital Auto Level outdoors, it is water resistant, so it is protected against damage. It is also stable and will compensate for vibrations do to the pendulum and magnetic damping system. This makes it useful in construction areas, like along roadways and on bridges. It gathers data by using a telescope that is pointed at the staff, bring it in focus, and then simply push the button. The RAB-code staff can be used by waving it letting the system take the readings.
