Warmer than wool and as soft as cashmere, yak yarn makes
wonderful garments and accessories. The undercoat or down is made
up of fibers from 17 -
*9microns and ****5 mm long. Yak wool
comes in three different natural colors - dark brown,
light brown and grey.
Yak woolis completely odorless, does not shed and maintains
warmth, even when wet. Unlike sheep's wool, the fiber is
non-allergenic and non-irritating as it contains no animal oils
or residue. The wool is very resistant to static electricity
meaning garments a less likely to spark or cling to the body
during dry conditions.
