please explain how the lamp can work without driver?
Its principle is similar to incandescent light
It is a kind of dual polarity SMD, the engineer of Nordy connect a suitable resistor in the circuit, and arrayed the SMD with a special way, make the SMD in both series and parallel, directly connected to high voltage, then light, and it can be dimmable.
 
Why testing power is not enough?
Because our SMD chip is a dual LED chip, a SMD chip is 1W, it contains 2pcs of 0.5 W chips, 2pcs of Positive and negative. The SMD chip is in both series and parallel, so, when you test the power, you can only test the power of a single LED chip. As a result, its actual power will be smaller than the given power. But, it is far more power-efficient,which we generally call it high luminance efficiency.
