Application
Used as bare overhead transmission cable and as primary and secondary distribution cable. ACSR offers optimal strength for line design. Variable steel core stranding enables desired strength to be achieved without sacrificing ampacity.
Construction
ACAR has aluminium ***0 H**9 wires concentrically stranded around a ****-T*1 aluminium alloy core. Typically, the ****-T*1 is the conductor core, but in certain designs, the ***0 H**9 and the ****-T*1 wires may be stranded in the same layer.
