The function of the engine mount is to support and position the engine. The engine mount usually supports the engine and frame together through the transmission case and flywheel case.



The common support methods are three-point support and four-point support. A three-point brace has the front brace supported on the frame through the crankcase and the rear brace supported on the frame through the gearbox. A four-point support has the front support supported on the frame through the crankcase and the rear support supported on the frame through the flywheel housing.



The powertrain of most existing cars generally adopts a front-drive horizontal three-point suspension layout. The engine mount is the bridge connecting the engine and the frame. The existing engine mounts, including bow, cantilever and base, are heavy in weight and do not meet the existing lightweight purpose. At the same time, the engine, engine mount and frame are rigidly connected, and the bumps generated during the car driving are easily transferred to the engine, which is noisy.
