mechanism of action

The main component is dimethyl-β-propiothetin (DMPT). Experiments show that, DMPT is the marine plant osmotic adjustment, and existed in the algae and higher salt plant in big quantity. DMPT has a strong promotion for the nutrition metabolism of mammals, birds and aquatic animals (fish and shrimp). Fish behavioral and electrophysiological studies have shown that with (CH3) 2S-group of compounds on fish has a strong attraction on fish and (CH3) 2S- is the key receptor for activating the animal’s taste receptor. DMPT has the strongest attractant effect on fish in the known substances that with (CH3) at present.

 

Product function

1. Increase the feed intake of aquatic animals, meanwhile increase the digestive ability.

Attract the aquatic animals to swim and group around the bait to stimulate appetite, and improve feed intake, feeding frequency for aquatic animals and improve feed efficiency, promoting digestion and absorption, lower feed factor.

2. Improved palatability
Large quantity minerals and medicines added into feed, which greatly reduce the palatability of feed. DMPT can mask the bad smell in feed, thereby increasing palatability, improve feed intake.

3. In favor of using the cheap feed resources
Add DMPT can make better use of the cheap meal protein in aquatic animal feed, alleviate shortage of fish meal and other protein feed conditions, and can reduce feed costs.

4. Reduce feed waste and maintenance of the water environment
DMPT addition could significantly reduce the feed intaking time, reduce nutrient losses, to avoid the feed waste and deterioration of water quality caused by the feed rot.

5. Promote exuviations of shrimp and other shellfish, thus further promoting growth and increase the stress resistance

It can be used in all kinds of feed, such as, premix, concentrated feed and completed feed. And it can also be used not only in aquatic feed, but also in bait. It is ok to mix well with other feed.
