Cassia Tora, scientifically known
as Senna tora, is a plant species belonging to the
Caesalpiniaceae family. Native to tropical regions of Asia, it is
commonly found in countries like India, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, and
Thailand. Also known by various names such as "Sickle Senna" or
"Sickle Pod," Cassia Tora is an annual herb that grows in a
variety of soil types.
The plant typically reaches a
height of one to two meters, featuring pinnate leaves with six to
eight pairs of leaflets. Its bright yellow flowers are small and
