The ***9/5/EC directive has been implemented for many years, and many places cannot meet the existing products. In fact, the EU has already begun to draft a new directive in ***7, but the progress is not so fast, so in ***1 another draft was submitted to the European Commission, and finally on May ***4, 5, the EU officially published a new version of the wireless equipment directive RED *2/***4/EU, which is based on the EU's new CE framework decision *3/**8/EC, RED ***8/***4/EU replaces the original EU wireless equipment directive R&TTE-D *3/***9/EC. There is a two-year transition period from June 5, ***6, when the original R&TTE Directive 6/*3/EC will be abolished, while products already assessed under the old directive can continue to be sold until June ***9, 5. After June ***7, 6, only wireless devices evaluated according to the new RED *3/***7/EU will be allowed to be sold on the EU market. The purpose of the new directive is to clarify the scope of spectrum use, improve the effectiveness of spectrum use, and facilitate the enforcement of regulations and market monitoring between member countries.

Before a wireless product can be legally sold in an EU country, it must be tested and approved according to the RED Directive and must also have a CE-mark. Wireless remote control products must comply with the RED Directive RED ***4/*3/EU.
