Description: The Eames Lounge Chair was originally designed for
the high-end market. It is composed of molded plywood shells with
cushions made to fit precisely into the shells. The Eames Lounge
Chair has been the subject of documentary films and books. To
call it a classic icon is surely an understatement, it is one of
the most comfortable of the classics chairs and the goal for the
chair was for it to be "a special refuge from the strains of
modern living", according to Eames.
Materials: The shells are made of molded plywood with upholstered
cushions covered in leather. The base is made of black powder
coated cast aluminium.
