recently announced that its large-scale sodium-ion battery energy
storage system has been recognized as one of the Top *0
Technological Innovations in the Energy Industry for ***4 by the
National Energy Administration (NEA). A key part of this
achievement is the Datang Qianjiang Sodium-Ion Energy Storage
Station, which marks a significant milestone in the
commercialization of sodium-ion battery technology.
Sodium-ion batteries are emerging as a key energy storage
technology for next-generation power systems, offering cost
advantages, abundant raw materials, and a secure supply chain. This
project represents the worlds first large-scale commercial
deployment of sodium-ion energy storage technology.
