Basic quality specification parameters are degree of deacetylation (DDA) [%], viscosity [mPas], ash content [%], moisture [%] and heavy metals [ppm].
On request additional parameter can be analysed, such as microbiology and molecular weight.

Several Chitosan products are available in the following ranges:
Degree of Deacetylation: *0 to *8%
Viscosity: 5 to ***0 mPas
Ash content: mostly < 1%, but not higher than 3%
Heavy metals: < *0 ppm
Moisture: mostly < *0%, but not higher than *2%.
