The Eames Executive Chair is part of the Eames Aluminum Group (***8).

A smart solution for work and dining, this chair actually began as outdoor furniture for a residence designed by Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard. The pair asked the Eameses to design chairs that were light enough to move from indoors to out, and strong enough to withstand the elements. The timing was perfect, as the Eameses were experimenting with aluminum, which had been strengthened, refined and made more affordable since WWII. For the project, they constructed a lightweight, corrosion-resistant frame that was wrapped in a sling or “sitting pocket” that subtly conforms to the body’s shape. The height-adjustable, high back Executive Chair tilts and swivels.

• Foam: fire-resistant high-resiliency urethane foam
• Frame: Chromed aluminum

• Wheels: each chair has 2 sets of different type of wheels
• One set of soft PU wheels with spring mechanism for wooden floor or hard floor like concrete, marble or stone.
  • The chair won't move unless you sit in it or press the seat.
  • It is one of the most advanced wheels for office furniture.
  • Each chair is installed with PU wheels. They can be easily taken off and switched to the PVC wheels.
