In the industrial sector, energy consumed by the industrial drives accounts for more than *0% of total consumed by the industry. Also the running cost of motor is found to be nearly 8 to *0 time its capital cost. Due to the continuing energy crises, the industries are showing increasing concern for energy conservation. This has led to the trend towards improving the electric motor efficiencies to level that would result in considerable saving in energy. Energy conservation to the extent of *5% is considered feasible by adopting high efficiency motors and employing suitable drives.
 
          If we talk about our city Surat and surrounding, then this is a key center for power looms and its associates machineries. It is said that almost 7 lakhs power looms are running with their subsidiary machines like twisting, warping and windings. And majority of them are more than 5 to *5 years old, which has a motor with very less efficiency, poor power factor and cause for more power consumption.
 
         We have taken target of these industries and designed motors considering mechanical aspect of machines {e.g. How much starting torque / pull up torque / pullout torque of motor is needed} and basic demand by world for the best efficient motors as per new ****5 ***8 for  IE II, IE III and IE - IVas prescribed by Bureau of Energy Efficiency and Bureau of Indian Standards
 
          The experimental work for the Energy Efficiency in the motor was started by us a way back in ***7 ****8 with the Efficiency test certificate of ERDA
 
The market accelerated our products and thousands of Energy Efficient Motors are running in the industries and saving Energy and Money both.
 
As on today we have tested our motors at ERDA - Vadodara and EQDC, Gandhinagar one of the finest laboratories in the country for testing Electric Induction Motors and results are quite encouraging by crossing the global bench mark.
