~~This species of Frankincense is known as Boswellia Carterii known as Beeyo and Boswellia frereana  known as Maydi. It harvested  in the coastal regions of North Eastern Somalia in Puntland. This type of Frankince is very  important and widely used source of frankincense essential oil. The incense resins of Boswellia Carteri is also used in religious ceremonies and meditation.
Frankincense has been known since ancient times to possess a wealth of health supporting properties. Current research has shown that the essential oil obtained from this species of frankincense may be appropriate as an alternative therapy for bladder cancer. The Boswellic acids in frankincense are known to also possess potent anti-inflammatory components.
