The real value of the FLS must be judged not just on the price, or
the fact that the “Freedom Light (FL)”
is probably the brightest and most flexible lamp in the world today
(i.e. amongst its peer group), but also because the system provides
more than *6 hours of light from a single FL (at its maximum
output), and that the Sealed Lead Acid Battery (SLAB)
will continue to function for many years because of the low Depth
of Discharge (DoD)
that we have designed into it, thus making life so much easier for
the client. The *0W solar panel was deliberately chosen because of
the rapidly increasing use of Cell phones throughout the Developing
World (DW),
and to give the client the confidence that they can have many hours
of lighting, plus a cell phone charge, every single day if
required.
