𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗧𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗣 𝗔 𝗝𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗬 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗔𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬
Every morning, as I wake up amidst the breezy highlands of Da Lat, I ask myself what led me from an air-conditioned office in a bustling city to these lush green vegetable fields. The answer lies in a burning passion and a bold decision made in my forties.
For over twenty years, I had built a solid career in Marketing, Automotive, and Banking & Finance. I held various managerial positions, from Head of Marketing at Today Media to Head of Customer Relations at Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) and later Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB). I then transitioned to the automotive industry as Sales Director at Ha Thanh Ford and BMW Long Bien, before becoming Regional Director for Auto Loans at Shinhan Finance Vietnam—a job that offered financial security and a promising future.
However, deep down, I always harboured a different dream. I wanted to create something with lasting value, not just for myself but for the community. Then, during a trip to Da Lat in mid-2023, standing amidst the vast vegetable fields, breathing in the fresh air, I knew that I had to pursue my ambition: to bring Vietnams clean agricultural products to the world.
𝗔 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆
I made the life-changing decision to leave my stable career behind, purchase a farm in Ward 10 of Da Lat City, and collaborate with local farmers to grow clean produce using advanced techniques. But agriculture was nothing like finance or the automotive industry—it wasnt just about strategies but about seeds, soil, and sheer hard work.
The first challenge came when I tried to convince farmers to adopt clean farming methods. They were used to traditional cultivation, relying on chemical fertilisers and pesticides to ensure quick growth and high yields. When I proposed a clean farming model—reducing chemical use, switching to organic fertilisers, and following strict control measures in line with VIETGAP standards, many were sceptical: If we do that, the vegetables will grow too slowly, the yield will drop—who will buy them?
I knew that to change their mindset, I had to lead by example. Alongside a team of agricultural engineers, I ensured that every VietCrop product complied strictly with VIETGAP standards, from selecting seeds, using organic fertilisers, managing pests biologically, to controlling water sources and the farming environment. Each product from VietCrop is not only clean but also safe, meeting the necessary standards for export.
However, the difficulties didnt end there. In the early days, production was lower than expected. The vegetables, though fresh and healthy, were smaller than those in the market, and prices were not as competitive. Some farmers began to lose faith and considered returning to their old methods, which were faster and more financially secure. I didnt blame them—everyone has to make a living. But I couldnt allow myself to give up. I continued working with the farmers to refine processes and find ways to optimise production while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Amidst these struggles, I was fortunate to have the unwavering support of my family. My wife, despite her concerns, always stood by me, sharing my burdens and reminding me of why I started. My children, every time they heard me talk about the farm, would excitedly encourage me: Dad, your vegetables will definitely be exported! Their simple words gave me the strength to persevere.

After relentless effort, VietCrops produce finally gained recognition and was distributed by major supermarket chains such as Winmart, Co.opmart, and Big C. However, at that point, our products were still sold under the supermarkets' private labels rather than under our own brand. This made me realise that if I wanted to export, I couldnt remain an anonymous supplier forever.
On 8th March 2025, VietCrop was officially born—a brand that embodies both pride and ambition.
The name VietCrop is a combination of Viet (representing Vietnam) and Crop (symbolising agriculture and harvests), reflecting our mission to bring Vietnams clean produce to the world. I aspire for VietCrop to be more than just a brand—I want it to be a commitment: every product must be clean, safe, and meet international standards.
𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱
I know that many challenges lie ahead. Building an agricultural brand from scratch is no easy feat, especially as VietCrop is still in its infancy. But if I have overcome the toughest early days, I believe I can go even further.
With passion, responsibility, commitment, and above all, integrity, I am confident that VietCrop will become a respected name in Vietnams clean agricultural sector and beyond.
I still remember my childrens words: Dad, your vegetables will definitely be exported! And I truly believe that day is not far away. 🚀🌱
