Dried figs (naturally sun dried), both produced and processed in the Greek island of Euboia, are one of the tastiest and most successful products we are dealing with and we are very proud & happy to have it in our trading portfolio. Proud for the delicious taste, excellent appearance and the very good fame they have acquired day by day, to all over the world.

Whole procedure in few words:

The collection of figs is made by hand, on a daily basis, once the ripe or overripe figs have fallen onto nets located *0 cm above the ground. The first fig selection is carried out by the fig producers and only sizeable figs (****5 pcs per kg) are traded. Figs unsuitable for trade (bad figs) are eliminated. Bleaching of figs follows, which is done in special ovens with the use of sulfur. Figs are placed in wooden boxes in a row, until oven's surface is fully covered. For bleaching, ******0 grams of sulfur (so2) are used and it takes about **2 hours depending on the weight of the figs and the amount of sulfur. Immediately after bleaching, figs are dried in special outer drying areas where they remain ***2 days depending on weather conditions. Dried figs are also go through special washing machines of water (*0°- *0° degrees Celsius) for **3 minutes. During washing, the most foreign matters from the surface of figs and the sulfur remains from bleaching are removed. After washing, draining follows. The washed dried figs are placed in plastic boxes, stacked by ****0 boxes and placed together in airtight nylon bags, for **3 days until they have drained. At the end, dried figs are packaged in retail packages of **0 & **0 gr (as shown below). Packaging in 5 kg packages is also available at request. Packaging details & Pricing
