Working Principle:

The fluorescent tube is filled with low pressure argon, or  argon and neon fixed gas ,and mercuy vapor. Its inside surface is coated with phosphorus quality fluorescence paint.There is a heater winding made of wolfram on two sides .

When light source is conneted, electron-tube heater is heated , electron is relaxed and change gas inside into plasma,and strength current.  Discharge is born when voltage between heaters is big enough.

At the same time,**3.7nm and **5nm UV is made out of mercuy vapor. The phosphorus quality fluorescence paint will adopts UV ,and relax longer visible light.Light color is controlled by the proportion of phosphorus quality ingredients.

If fluorescent tube is connect directly with voltage fixed-power supply,it will be burn up ,for the increasing current.So,a ballast will be needed to control current.
