had his epiphany when confronted with a Yakuza (Japanese
gangster) sporting a full body tattoo or suit at a public
bathhouse. Inspired, he visited the studio of his later
master, Horiyoshi I,
and became his apprentice at the age of *5.Celebrating the art of
Master Horiyoshi's
irezumi tattoo's, the first women's and men's fashion
collections launched in ***0. Reworking his designs into
luxurious knitwear, t-shirts, sweats, contemporary denim and silk
& cashmere scarves, each piece carefully crafted to mirror
the detail of his artwork. The collections have been quickly
embraced by the fashion community and loved by some of the most
influential figures in modern culture.
