Insulated Glass
The insulating glass is composed of a group of two or more parallel flat float glasses, which are separated by a spacer and sealed along its entire circumference. The spacer is enclosed in the sealing chamber of dry air or inert gas to improve the thermal and acoustic performance.
The total thickness of insulating glass is obtained by the sum of the thickness of the glass used and the width of the air chamber, which is usually 9, *2 and *5 mm thick. Depending on its size, the total thickness most commonly used in the structure varies between *5 and *8 mm.
