Hot tub and outdoor SPA improve your quality of life. The unique blend of air, water, heat and tactile therapy that makes spas the logical choice for body and soul rejuvenation that you can share with friends and loved ones. There are following steps to install the outdoor spas.

Base: An outdoor SPA will be extremely heavy when it is filled
with water, so you must prepare a solid base to support it. You can use a variety of materials*-from concrete to railroad ties to patio blocks*-but the base must be flat, level and stable. If you install a concrete pad, it should be at least two inches thick, but preferably thicker than that. Due to the weight, placing an outdoor SPA on a wooden deck should only be done if it is absolutely capable of supporting it.

Placement: In order to get your outdoor hot tub onto its base, you will need to have an unobstructed delivery path. Common barriers include fences, shrubs, lawn furniture and play equipment. Using your hot tub's measurements, calculate the path that you or the delivery person will need to take and remove anything that might get in the way.

Electricity: A basic installation requires you to connect the hot tub's wiring to your junction box. You'll probably have to extend the electrical connection, which can be done via PVC conduit buried in an **-inch-deep trench. All ***-volt outdoor spas are required to have ground fault protection as a safety measure.

Water: Once the hot tub is in place and has been hooked up to the electrical connection, the last step is filling it with water and balancing the chemicals. You can use water right from your hose, and once the hot tub is filled, you can turn on the heater and pump and test the water with a SPA test strip to see what adjustments are needed. Alternately, you can bring a sample of water to your local pool store, and they can make product recommendations.

Cover: When the hot tub is installed and filled, place the cover on top and clip the fasteners. This will keep the water clean and allow it to heat up more quickly. The tub will be ready for its first use once the water is heated to a comfortable temperature.
