Alloy **8 has
excellentcorrosion resistance at high and low
temperatures and good resistance to stress-corrosion cracking and
pitting corrosion.
Alloy **8 has good performance in hostile
environments containing H2S, CO2, chlorides, sulfides and free
sulfur at selected temperatures. Alloy **8 is commonly used for
cryogenic storage tanks, downhole shafts and wellhead
parts.
