The membrane switch/membrane key pad is built from PET/PC and PSA.  The PCB can also be used as the base for a switch. It can be tactile or non-tactile, depending on the design. The tactile style provides a physical click when the user pushes it. The non-tactile style has a longer capacity, but lacks a physical feedback response to the user.  A rubber keypad can be added to the top of the item as well. Membrane switches are used in many arenas, including medicine, gaming, aviation, nautical equipment, appliances, printers and public information panels.  Membrane switches have many advantages over other switches. They are thin and compact, cost-efficient, versatile and durable, user friendly, and moisture and dirt resistant. Additionally, they come in many visually-pleasing styles and colors suitable for any need.
