Nutrious Evening primrose cooking oil
Evening primrose oil is
obtained from the seeds of the evening primrose plant, (Oenothera
biennis) by cold pressing, without solvents. The oil can be taken
directly as a liquid or in the form of capsules.
Efficacy and Nutritional components
Evening primrose oil is a natural, and the richest source of Gamma-Linolenic acid(GLA). It contains about *0.0% GLA and *8.***8.0% Linoleic acid. Some people use evening primrose oil for chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), asthma, nerve damage related to diabetes; it is also for an itching disorder called neurodermatitis, hyperactivity in children and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and gastrointestinal disorders.
Women use evening primrose oil
in pregnancy for preventing high blood pressure, shortening
labor, starting labor, and preventing late deliveries. Women also
use the oil for premenstrual syndrome (PMS), breast pain,
endometriosis, and symptoms of menopause such as hot
flashes.
