The Objective:-
To provide The Government of Trinidad and Tobago with high
volume quality housing at an affordable price.
The Goals
and Solutions:-
1. Provide
a structure which is easy to construct and Upgrade.
USM- is a standard two bedroom on e bath modular home which is
easily upgraded to a four bedroom 2 bath home in the
matter of hours.
2. Provide
a structure which will with stand mild earthquakes.
USM is built with sturdy 4 x8 Greenheart Panels with bolts which
can be tightened at *0 percent to give great flexibility so as
not to collapse in an earthquake.
3. Provide
a structure which will be able to withstand Hurricane
Conditions
USM panel’s connectivity strength can be increased with
increasing the number of bolts between panels and from bottom of
panels to flooring and from top of panel to trusses thus allowing
for ability to withstand hurricane conditions.
4. Provide
a structure which is fire resistant.
USM is constructed with Greenheart Lumber which is known for its
superior fire resistant qualities, rated Grade A with Lloyds of
London and used as firewalls in ports and buildings.
5. Provided
a structure which will allow for the deployment as an emergency
house.
USM is fully self sufficient with solar power and a
waterless toilet and a **0 gallon water tank fed from the
guttering thus covering electricity, water storage and
sewage.
6. Provide
a structure which would use renewable energy as much as possible
to save money for the family.
USM comes with a solar cell to allow for the supply of
electricity. This eliminates or reduces the need for power for
lighting, TV, Fans and other basic electrical requirements.
7. Provide
a structure which would use as little water as possible or use it
with highest efficiency.
The unit comes with a waterless toilet. This unit uses sawdust
and rice grain mixture to provide a compost base which when fully
exhausted can be used to produce biogas and fertilizer.
8. Provide
a structure which can be constructed on any terrain.
The unit is on columns which can be lengthened or shortened to
meet the requirements of any terrain. This allows for the
construction on land which would normally be deemed unsuitable
for affordable housing.
9. Provide
a structure which will allow for rapid delivery to any part of
the Country.
The unit is able to be packed in a kit which allows for two units
to fit in a *0ft container. This allows for easy trucking and
transport. In addition the heaviest panel can be lifted by 4 men
to facilitate the deployment to harsh terrain.
*0. Provide
a structure which will allow for deployment in areas where
infrastructure is not available.
In an emergency situation where the infrastructure had been
damaged or destroyed this unit is ideal and allows the survivor
to easily get back to a semblance of normalcy.
*1. Provide
a structure with a year guarantee.
We provide a ten year conditional guarantee on unit
but, the various parts of the unit have individual guarantees
which exceed the *0 years.
*2. Provide
a structure which will reflect dignified affordable quality.
The standard unit allows for finishing which will give a level
of class to the unit to allow the house although low priced, to
lend to a certain pride in the unit.
*3. Provide
a structure which gives client the ability to develop a larger
building based on the budget of the client.
The units are modular and so the client as he or she grows
economically has the opportunity to expand with great ease to a
larger unit by buying another basic unit and connecting.
*4. Provide
a modular structure which can be used to build a school, hospital
or Health Centre.
The units are *4ft by *0ft. This can be extended to unlimited
lengths in multiples of *4ft.Thus allowing for basic multi use
structures to be built rapidly and efficiently.

a structure which in an emergency can provide a rapid dignified
housing solution.
The company has the ability to supply upwards of ***0 units
monthly. This means that in an emergency situation, the unit
which can house up to *2 persons can facilitate the accommodation
of up to ****0 persons monthly. This allows the government
to meet any disaster with a level of confidence as per the
settlement of its citizens.
