Elastic materials obtained by special curing of high-silicon
organic compounds. However, due to the special chemical
structure, they have a number of remarkable properties that allow
them to take a special place among the rubber elastic materials.

Flexible and elastic silicone sheets or tubes have a unique
chemical structure that gives them, in contrast to any other
elastomer, high thermal and chemical resistance and, as a result
- they can work in the media where no other material can be used.
This type of rubber sheet exceeds any other elastomers in its
resistance to high temperatures and by far surpasses them as for
its lifetime, it has a much lower compression set and
antiadhesion properties, it is odorless, tasteless and non-toxic,
it has excellent resistance to weathering, as it is not affected
by the sunlight, ozone, moisture, dryness. Silicone rubber sheet
(tube) has a smooth, defect-free surface. It can have different
chemical composition giving it certain physical properties.
Silicone rubber also has good chemical resistance. However, it
may swell when exposed to certain solvents, but after evaporation
of the solvent, typically silicon returns to its original size
without losing properties. When exposed to maximum temperatures
silicon rubber sheet practically emits no gas unlike other
similar elastomers. It burns in an open flame, emitting
non-toxic, odorless smoke and forms white ashes which do not
conduct electricity. Silicone rubber is versatile by itself, yet,
in spite of this, there are various modifications for operation
under specific conditions.

- Greater strength, flexibility and compressibility at the
indicated temperatures;

- Has no smell or taste, and is non-toxic;
- Has excellent resistance to weathering;
- Is not affected by the sunlight, ozone, moisture and dryness;
- Does not support the growth of fungi;
- Service life at room temperature is practically unlimited.
Main technical
characteristics and physical and mechanical
properties:
Minimum working pressure (nominal) for food water, air and other
media: *0.0 MPa. Minimum working pressure (nominal) for food and
industrial oils, fatty foods, alcohol and alcohol-containing
substances: 6.0 MPa. Shore A hardness: *5 - *5. Density: 1.**1,4
g/cm3 (depending on the type). Rated operating temperature: **0 º
C … ***0 º C. Minimun tensile strength at break: 3.2 MPa. The
sheet with thickness of 1 mm to 8 mm is manufactured in rolls of
*0 kg each with the width of ***0 mm. The sheet with thickness *0
to *0 mm is produced in sheets of ***0 x ***0 mm.
Phenyl-based silicone rubber withstands the temperature up to -
*5 º C, and if made by a special formula - up to - **2 º C. The
operating temperature for ordinary sheets and tubes, **5 º C to
***0 º C, does not significantly affect the physical properties
of silicone. Operation in the conditions of high temperature and
pressure requires general purpose silicone rubber. Permanent
deformation is dependent on the operating temperature, pressure
and the operating environment. Silicone tubing and
general-purpose sheet - technical, medical, and food, - are the
most resistant materials for the given purpose. Fluorinated
silicone rubber is the best choice wherever there is a contact
with the fuel or solvent. This polymer has the best resistance to
swelling and degradation from exposure to these substances.
High-strength silicone materials with tensile strength of 6.**9.0
MPa and over make the best solution wherever there is a need for
high elasticity, flexibility and tensile strength.
