HYDRATED LIME
Hydrated Lime is a free flowing powder. It is obtained by reacting calcium oxide with water. It is usually known as Slaked Lime but it has many other names like Builders lime, Lime powder, Calcium Hydroxide and Pickling lime. Hydrated lime is an inorganic compound with the formula Ca (OH)2.
APPLICATIONS OF HYDRATED LIME:Hydrated Lime is used extensively in various industrial concerns. It is used in leather industry, paper industry, petroleum and refining industries, food industry, for instance, fruit and vegetables, baking, glue and gelatin, dairy and suger etc. It is also used in water treatment plants, manufacture of bleaching powder, non-ferrous metal applications, soil stabilization and asphalt plants, steel industry, pH control, road construction industry and in various calcium compounds.
