These handwoven mochilas are made by the women of the Wayuu ethnic group, from the Guajira Peninsula on the Colombia-Venezuela border. For the Wayuu people, knowing how to weave is a symbol of creativity, intelligence and wisdom, a practice that is past on from one generation to the next. Weaving these bags is arduous work and it takes a woman at least *0 days to create one of these very special bags. These bags are a very important part of the artisan tradition of the Wayuu's. The bags have beautiful colors and go with everything! Please take a look at the other ones Im selling - each one is very unique in color and design! Drop *9" (You can also cross it as a messenger bag) Measures: *2" across - *1" tall. ENJOY OWNING SOMETHING SO UNIQUE!!!! :)
