White-seed melon commonly known as Egusi, is native to West Africa:
Nigeria, Mali, Togo, Ghana, Cameroon, Burkina Faso. Egusi seeds are
comprised of *4% oil, *0% protein, *0% carbohydrate, 4% ash and 3%
fibre. The seeds are rich in vitamins. It is used as a thickner and
in making the popular Egusi soup.
