Harry Bertoia designed the Wire Diamond Chair in ***2, it was apart of a collection of wire chairs he designed for Knoll. The sculptural Wire Diamond Chair is a study of space, form, and function, with its unique bent and welded steel rod construction the chair is exceptionally strong and surprisingly comfortable. Bertoia considered himself to be a sculptor first, but it his work with metal that is most recognized. The frame is pre-stressed, pre-buffed, high gauge steel that is chrome-plated with a multi-layering process of *8 microns, the highest level available including silicone coatings for rust protection. All chrome parts are polished to a perfect finish, to insure a finish that will not chip, crack or peel.
