Here is the introduction for WOC.This is  a new technology in distributing WLAN signal through existing Cable TV system in hotel. It is called WLAN over CATV or WOC. It effectively solves the common wireless coverage problems in hotel such as weak signals, system self-interference, low system throughput, network connection jumping and high radiation. All these problems are regarded as "Inconvenience Truths in Hotel". Installation is very easy and simple.Traditional troublesome wireless site survey is not required. WOC system has been successfully installed in some of the leading hotels in China such as Grand Hyatt, Hilton, Intercontinental and Sheraton. Typically for the case of the old WLAN system in Intercontinental Shanghai, their atrium design caused to serious self-interference. Signals from over **0 AP could be received. Apart from serious interference, network connection jumped for every 2 seconds. The wireless network was basically useless. Hotel received serious complaint but could not find any good solution from the AP vendor or telecom operator. After deployment of WOC, all the problems are fixed.
